The Lily of the Valleys
The Rose of Sharon or the flower of the field is a flower that endures through the harsh season of winter and resurrects in the spring. The "Rose of Sharon" in the US is Hibiscus syriacus and is extremely hardy. In an allegory of Jesus Christ, Solomon under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit writes about the great "I AM" unknowingly. Not only is He the flower of the field but He is the Lily in the valleys. Not just a flower that blossoms in the field or open areas, But our Lord Jesus is with us through the multiple valleys we encounter in life.
